Friday AI

A voice-driven personal AI assistant.

Overview

Friday AI is a voice-enabled assistant that automates daily tasks — scheduling, reminders, search and device control — through natural language.

The challenge

The small, frequent tasks that fill a day — setting reminders, checking schedules, searching for information, controlling devices — are spread across many separate apps, and constantly switching between them breaks focus. For hands-busy or eyes-busy moments, typing is a poor interface altogether.

Our approach

Friday AI turns natural spoken language into action. Speech-to-text converts a spoken command into text, which an LLM interprets to work out intent and extract the relevant details, holding enough context to handle follow-up requests in a natural back-and-forth rather than treating every command in isolation. Automation APIs then carry out the action, and an extensible skill/plugin system means new capabilities can be added without reworking the core — each skill is a self-contained module the assistant can call.

Key features

  • Natural-language voice commands
  • Task automation & integrations
  • Contextual follow-up conversations
  • Extensible skill/plugin system

Outcome

Friday AI shows how a single conversational, voice-first interface can consolidate everyday automation that would otherwise be scattered across many tools — and how an LLM's language understanding, rather than rigid command syntax, is what makes that interface genuinely usable day to day.
